Approximately two million people in America suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. Diagnosing and treating the disease in the early stages is critical to avoid loss of motion, range of movement and surgery.

Pryor explains that there are three distinct stages of rheumatoid arthritis. The first stage is an inflammation of the joints (which can occur anywhere on the body), the second stage is enlargement of the joints affected, and the third stage is a breakdown of the joint, which can alter its shape.
